The god who speaks - lent resources for the family
Scripture is at the centre of everything the church does. The word of god shapes our prayer and worship. The bible shows us how to understand the world, how we are called to live and relate to each other.

We would like to thank you for supporting the 2020 Christmas Toy Appeal and to update you on the final outcome. We are so thankful for your contribution - whether you donated toys, gave financially, or volunteered. .

Call to Prayer - November 2020
On Wednesday (4th Nov), Parliament passed into law the Regulations governing many aspects of activity in the whole of England until Wednesday, 2 December. These Regulations prohibit the gathering of people for communal worship in churches and other religious buildings. Churches remain open and in use for activities other than communal worship, including personal prayer and support for those in need. Cardinal Vincent Nichols states: We must sustain each other in our patterns of prayer, joining a national shared moment of prayer each day at 6pm, and observing the Vigil of Christ the King (21 November) as a day of prayer for the ending of this pandemic.
His full statement can be found here.
'Walk to School' - October 2020
At Holy Family we understand the importance of raising awareness and celebrating walking for all as it has been proven that children who do some form of exercise, especially a walk before school, do better in class because they arrive refreshed, fit and ready to learn. Therefore, we will be celebrating 'Walk to School' and this will be taking place W/C 5th October. We have organised lots of fun activities and each day your child will record how they arrived at school. If they have walked, biked, scootered or used our '5 minute Walking Zone' for the majority of the week they will receive a certificate! In addition to this your child will learn the importance of exercise and looking after our world. They will be writing poems about 'Journeys to School' as well as looking at statistics and how we can use these to record data. See the photos here

Additionally, Friday 9th October is 'Mental Health Day'.
The children in Foundation Stage and Key Stage One will be looking at ways to keep our mind healthy and understand why this is important. In Key Stage Two the children will be discussing feelings and how we can manage these.
We will be placing some pictures on here of the children's wonderful work so don't forget to have a look!

Holy Family Catholic Primary SchoolBreakfast bagels - Free to all!
Free breakfast for all! Starting January 2019
Holy Family wants to make sure that no child starts the school day too hungry to learn. A fantastic new initiative is coming to our school to provide each and every child (and their parents/Carers!) with a heathy breakfast before the school bell rings and all free of charge! In partnership, Charities Family Action and Magic Breakfast have secured funding to provide schools with breakfast for the next 18 months.
From 8.30am until 8.40am every morning starting the 14th January, warm bagels will be available in the playground for everyone to try at no cost to our children and their families.
Our usual Breakfast Club will continue to run, providing breakfast and Care for the families that need it. Payment for this club is for the cost of the Staff. Children who attend the usual paid breakfast club are also eligible to take advantage of the free bagels too at 8.30am should they have room in their tummies!
All you have to do is simply be in the playground between 8.30 and 8.40am to let your child enjoy a bagel, ensuring they are physically ready to start their day.
